3 coats + top coat in artificial light |
This was one of my picks from Kiko's Holographic nail polish lines. I've already reviewed Starry Blue from the same line here. I was so happy with Starry Blue that I couldn't wait to try this one.
I must apologize for the wonky nail on my index finger. I suffered a really bad crack way down on my nail bed, about the centre of my nail. So I had to patch it with the tea bag method and I went a bit heavy handed with the glue, this the uneven surface of my nail. Sigh, they were just beginning to grow back :(

Shade
As is obvious from the name, this is a standard silver holographic polish. Too bad the holographic effect in this polish isn't very strong. You'll get the best holo shift in very specific lighting. Therefore, I've taken my pictures in different lights to show you the depth of the holo shift.

Formula & Application
The formula on this one isn't as awesome as Kiko's Starry Blue. It's quite thin and almost watery in comparison and very sheer as well. You need three coats to build full opacity. You obviously have to be very careful in application, otherwise you'd probably end up with some bald patches in spite of 3 coats. The only silver lining is that this polish wouldn't get goopy real soon. I've had this issue with a couple of my Kiko polishes as most of them have thicker formulas to begin with.

Longevity
Once again, this polish lags behind Starry Blue in another aspect. This isn't a long lasting polish and you can already see some tip wear on my ring and middle finger nails in my swatches. I took these pictures on day 3 of wearing this manicure. But as this is a light colour, the tip wear isn't too noticeable in person. I was able to wear this for 5 days before I developed some very minor chips at the tips.

Final Thoughts
Overall I'm not as blown away by this polish as I was with Starry Blue. It really pales in comparison in pretty much all aspects. Since this is a standard silver holo I'd say try one from a different brand, you're not missing out on anything by not buying this one.
