Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy - Royal Flush 400 Swatch & Review

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Polish Royal Flush
2 coats with top coat in artificial lighting
Revlon Royal Flush is an amazing fuchsia polish with a gel finish. The bottle holds 11.7ml of polish.

Shade
Revlon Royal Flush is a gorgeous fuchsia with very fine blue and pink micro shimmer. Unfortunately, that micro shimmer is invisible on the nail and the polish dries in a prominent creme finish. You can still see a very subtle silver/unicorn skin like sheen on the nail though because of the shimmer. This shade looks different in all my pictures and that's the beauty of it. It really pops in sunlight where it looks almost neon, and in indoor light leans towards a dark Barbie pink.

Formula and Application
This polish is a little thick, but it spreads well and evenly. However, you need to apply medium coats as this polish does drag if applied too thin. The colour dries fairly glossy and you can do without a top coat, but I would recommend one in any case to protect the shine and prevent chipping. Revlon markets this as a 'color + base' formula, and I would agree with it to an extent. I have worn this polish with and without a base coat and haven't noticed much of a difference in terms of application or lasting.

Longevity
This polish lasts fairly well, but it will not last too long if your nails spend too much time in water. I do see minor tip wear by day 4 of wear.

Final Thoughts
I'd say this is a great shade for people who love pink polishes. The formula is good and the shade catches your eye even from a distance.
